dont blame the kids
Ever wonder why kids cry(sometimes without any tears) and throw tantrums over even small matters? Well, my sis told me she heard/read somewhere that children ages 3-12 years old tend to throw tantrums to test the limits of themselves and the people around them. But of course they don't realised it. After knowing about this, i've tried to be more understanding towards Nisa(a kid my mum babysit. She's currently 3+ yrs old). So when she throw tantrums, i will just try to smile and talk to her nicely. But of course if i think her actions are way too much (like when she kicked me), she will have to be stopped.
I've realised that taking care of kids can be very, very exhausting. And considering the fact that Nisa is a girl, i don't even dare imagine what it will be like taking care of a boy. But again, if Nisa is a boy, i won't have to play "makeup-makeup" and "hairdryer"(aka hairdresser) with her. However, it IS fun to play with her. She really make me realise that it is okay to have fun sometimes. Furthermore, with her around, i can watch Barney and Hi-5 without feeling guilty. Hey, i'm just watching it 'coz Nisa wants me to watch with her. Really. She also reminds me of my own childhood. Seeing how tough it is to properly bring up a child, i totally appreciate my mum. Oh yah, kids learn fast at around this age. I've realised that Nisa pick up words and phrases very quickly. So we have to always carefully pick our words when we speak in front of her. It's also at this age that we should start teaching kids what's good and what's bad. I've realise (i've also realise that i've used the word "realise" alot in this entry.hah) that i love working with kids. What are the other options of a job involving kids besides being a kindergarten teacher? are there any jobs involving both dealing with medicine and kids? I should really do some research about this. oh yah...speaking of research, i'm actually suppose to do a research on a school project. Bluurrggh |
