spoilt

Is diploma really not enough in Singapore?? I'm beginning to believe so. This fact is really hard to swallow. My initial plan was to work right after getting my diploma. But i don't think that would work now. There's really only a teeny weeny number of jobs which actually employ diploma holders, especially jobs relating to the course i'm taking. So i guess i have to start thinking about taking a degree sometime in the future. *sigh* Now, that's a big problem. I didn't do well for my term test. Got C's and D's and even F's. I used to think that a "just pass" is enough. Oh boy, i was/am so naive. I really am dissapointed with my term test results as i would normally get better grades. I guess i have to kick out the cockiness(is there such word?) in me.
However, when i think about it, i think i do deserve those bad grades. I realised that although i claimed i have put alot of effort and hard work, i don't believe that is true. If i were to really put alot of effort, I would have performed much2 better for the term test. I think my main problem is that i normally study at the last minute.I know that that's a really bad habit. But since i believe that i have short term memory, i thought it is best if i crammed all information within a short period of time. That may work well before. However, i realised that if i ever wanna take a degree course, i should kick out the last-minute-study-routine pronto. From now on, i will try to study consistently and work on the concepts of the subject rather than plainly memorising the facts. And if i have any problems understanding the lecture notes, i shall 1) ask my peers and lecturers for help 2) Search information on the internet OR 3) borrow reference book from the school library (can u believe that the only book i've borrowed from the school library is a book on chelsea? I really do need help). I need a priority check.
I feel that these changes are neccessary as i do not want to live my life regretting and dwelling on the what could have beens if i were to put in much more effort.
Note to dear friends: Please remind me to stick with my plans.
