scissors paper stone
I just read this article from one of my sis's old yearbook. It was by a guy from Finland about his stay in Singapore as a foreign student. In it he mentioned that he feels Singaporeans "tend to be a lot less decisive regarding problem solving and making decisions". He also mentioned that he have difficulties "understanding why we always have to draw lots and spend a lot of time on every minor irrelevant issues while doing projects". What he said is sooo true. When it comes to who will present, which group present first or which group do which topic, draw lots usually take place. Many may argue that it's the most fair way of doing things. But i guess it IS time wasting and kind of irrelevant. Somebody should just take initiative and volunteer. Somebody. But who?
