Blackburn 1-0 Chelsea

Just 3 days after winning the EPL, we lost to Blackburn. We played so well last saturday against ManU to thrash them 3-0 so it's a little bit disappointing that we lost. Not that i'm looking down on blackburn. They are an improved side compared to last season and have a great manager in Mark Hughes, who played for Chelsea before. I guess they have more desire to win this match as they needed one more win to seal a UEFA spot. Furthermore, there were 8 changes in Chelsea's first 11 as they wanted to rest the players who will be involved in the world cup. Only one more EPL match left - Chelsea vs Newcastle. I love love chelsea vs newcastle matches.

The memories of Chelsea lifting its 2nd consecutive EPL cup is still pretty vivid. (Right at this moment, i just found out Jane is a Chelsea fan. hah! We're classmates and CSAS group mates 2 sememster ago and we didnt know we support the same club. Wouldn't have known shes a fan if she hadn't typed "tell me who got the premiereship title" on her msn nick. Wheee~! i've found a female chelsea fan!)

Highlights of the Chelsea-ManU match and prize ceremony:
  • All 3 goals (scored by Gallas, Joe Cole and Carvalho) were superb! Especially love j.cole's. The way he handle the ball...superly superb. He's definitely one of the more creative players in Chelsea.
  • The players at the sidelines celebrating even before the final whistle was blown. (To some people, they may interpret this as arrogance and lack of respect for the opposition. But the reality is that we were leading by 3 goals and there's only about 2-3 minutes left.)
  • Skipper John Terry lifting the cup
  • Mourinho throwing his club coat and medal to the chelsea fans. (Now, who doesn't want that??)
