caught the fever
For the last week, i have been pretty occupied with activities. As much as i like being occupied with things, it's just plain tiring and i find myself making excuses for not doing the more important stuff. It's always "I'm too tired.I'll do it tomorrow". But that "tomorrow" never came. I'm so prone to bad habits.
First things first, I'm attached to a haematology lab, which was my 2nd choice. Am just anxious to get started. World Cup is here. But now that it is running, the excitement has somehow died down. I've only watched about 1/4 of the games shown. My fave game so far is england vs trinidad & tobago. There was a point where my eyes closed involuntarily every 5 seconds(the match was at 12 midnight) but the match has almost everything you can ask for- nail biting moments, suspense, several shots on goal and good goals. It was a very frustrating match for Lampard though. He probably have 8 shots on goal (only 1 is on target) but none got in. Madness. Holland and England are already through to the 2nd round. Wheee~ Went to a family gathering yesterday. There were games and prizes and food. I took part (or rather was persuaded to take part) in a game- the one where you had to tie a balloon on your feet and be the last person to have their balloon still in tact. And...i emerged the winner! hah. But i'll be the first to admit that i probably am not the most deserving to win. i didnt even burst any balloon! i took a total defensive approach. A bit like Greece in the Euro 2004. I like to think that i played smart though. When there was only me and my cousin left in the battle for first place, she accidentally stepped on her own balloon. Long story short, I won due to an own goal. |
