he shoot, he scores?
My progression at work:
1) I've observed the baby heel prick (as opposed to adult finger prick) procedure about 1 month back. I remembered feeling so excited when we were heading to the ward. Brenda and myself were practically skipping our way to the ward. I know it sounds sadistic to be 'excited' when a baby could potentially get hurt during the procedure. I was just looking forward to seeing all those cute tiny babies, not the pricking bit.
2) I was allowed to do the finger prick procedure on 2 patients. You can observe the procedure a thousand time but it's just not the same as you trying out yourself. So that was a good experience. Am looking forward to more of such opportunity and experience.
3) I get to perform on-site smearing of bone marrow samples. Another good exposure. I've got encouraging comments from the staff on my smearing. I'll take that as a good sign. Though they did say there's room for improvement and that my smearing will get better with experience.
Right now, i'll be doing on my major project for 3 weeks. me and partner are still on the blur side. But hopefully things will get clearer. like soon.
Updates on Chelsea FC:
1) We won against man City 3-0 last sunday. goals by Drogba, Terry and Lamps. So chelsea have yet to disappoint me on my birthday =)
2) Lose against boro (away) 2-1 after having an early lead courtesy of shevchenko's goal in the 14th++ min. It was just sad to see us concede in the 81st and 90th min. Just show the palyers' lack of concentration.
3)Win against Blackburn 2-0. Lamps scored from a penalty and drogba scored the 2nd goal. whee~ 1st half wasn't good. we lose the ball too easily. My man of the match would be Ballack or Essien. Ballack impress me with his interception of the ball. Brilliant. Essien plays with his heart. Sometimes, that overpowers skill.
Overall, i'm proud of my boys from chelsea =)

Chelsea soccer ball from Aqilah and Sheena. It's so pretty.
