2 more months
Only 7 more weeks of SIP to go. Its fast isn't it? A handful of SIP mates also noted the no. of weeks left in their msn week. I guess we are all looking forward to the end of the SIP period. Time sure past fast even when you're not having much fun. Hah. I've been pretty much not doing much school work for the past 3 months. It's always work, go home and rest. I just am too tired to bother. I only did my daily and weekly SIP logbook entry. I haven't been updating the subject blogs and other quite important stuff. Don't have motivation to do so lah. Am planning to update the subject blog soon though. I just want to get the SIP and the rest of the course over and done with. I know this attitude i'm adopting is not a healthy one. My interest for biomedical is decreasing drastically. There's just not much passion left. I know i know...im so fickle. But i still want to do well for the remaining subjects. Which means i have to wake up, like right now, stop being lazy and start doing all the stuff i need to do. It worries me that my SIP mates have been saying they fell so stress juggling work and school stuff. I don't really feel stressful as i havent really done much of the school portion.hah. So it's high time i have a feel of that stress level the others have gone through.
I witnessed something interesting last thursday and friday, when i was viewing urine samples under a microscope . On Thursday, i saw quite a large number of micoorganism on a particular sample. I was certain that i've discovered something truly amazing so i went out of the lab and called Cindy over. Me: Cindy, wanna see something very interesting? Cindy: What? me: Microorganism moving! Cindy viewed the slide. But i noticed she don't look impressed. me: how? not interesting? cindy: It's ok la. Just that it's not moving. It's just wriggling. Which is true i guess. it's not exactly "swimming" around like that microfilaria worm we saw in a blood sample last week. But it's still very much alive. A few of the microorganism were doing a violent 360 degree spin. Subahanallah (God is great). Amazing how something so so small can do so much harm to our body. However i later find out that microorganism in urine is not very rare. So i guess i did act like a complete jakun. Then on Friday, i saw a sperm on another urine sample. And it was an active one, swimming around. It's this kind of experiences that make me want to learn more and look forward to more suchdiscoveries in the medical world. This could actually be a good enough motivation to keep me working and studying science. |
