just updating

Shevchenko scored!

Like finally. The last time he scored was when we lost 2-1 against boro. I, like other chelsea fans, have no doubts that he'll start scoring eventually, so it's great that he finally scored in the 2-1 win against Portsmouth yesterday (Michael Ballack scored the other goal). I'm ashamed to say that i did not give my full attention to the match as i was watching the lastest season of survivor online at the same time ( I'm back to the survivor-frenzy phase). It could be 3-1 but drogba's goal was deemed offside, and is rightly so. It could have been a good goal though. My chelsea boys are doing pretty well at the moment, considering our first and second choice goalies are out injured during the match against Reading. It was a terrible, terrible injury, especially the one involving Petr Cech. I didn't think it was very serious at first. But he actually had a fractured skull. The surgery was sucessful though Petr will be out for the whole season. But i'm not too concerened about him not playing for Chelsea. I just hope he recovers fully. It's scary to think that he could have died. Our secong goalie Carlo Cudicini was also knocked out unconcious. But he was discharged form the hospital the day after and will probably be out of action for 10 days. Hope he'll be all well soon and guarding the goal post for us.

I'm proud that the boys continued fighting and they played well during our champions league grp clash against defending champs Barca. The players are everywhere, in a good way of course. You can just see that they wanted to win the game badly. Drogba and Essien were very very hardworking. It's a joy watching them fight for every ball. And Khalid Boulahrouz marks Barca's Ronaldinho pretty well. Rona didnt get to move as freely and smoothly as he usually does. So yay. I think i'm starting to fancy Boulahrouz a bit. Heh
