kids

Have you wonder why children behave the way they did? Like when they insist on getting the things they want and produce dry tears along the way? Alot of people, especially here in Singapore, would give in to them immediately without thinking of the consequences. Like if you keep giving them the things they want, you have actually make them think that they will get whatever they want if they just cry and scream. I always try to take the opportunity to 'experiment' children's behaviour using little Nisa. Hee. Here is one of my observation:

One of the tactic or strategy you should use when children wants something and cry when you dont give them, is to distract them with something else. There was once when Nisa wanted this super expensive princess underwear (yes, she's attracted to pretty underwear). She started to cry when my mum told her 'No'. It's definitely hard to calm a crying child as your voice would be drowned by their loud cries. But as we were walking out of the shop i just keep talking to her and pointed to her certain objects that i know would catch her attention. Just simply distract them. They will eventual forget about the things they want. And you won't have to spend money buying things they don't really need.

That may not work for certain kids though. I still have lots to discover about children's behaviour. If you know of any kids whom i can experiment with, do let me know.

This entry is so random.
