Grad Day '07

So grad day was last Monday. It was ok i guess. Met people whom i've last seen in February. So it was nice to see them once again. Chatted with a few - get updates about their whereabouts. Ermm, i'll just get on with the pictures.

Met up with the girls a bit earlier to have a chat before the ceremony itself. It happens that day was also Sam's birthday. Bought her a small cake, we whispered to her the brithday song and watched her eat the cake. Heh.

Then off to the Temasek Convention Centre for the ceremony. I sat in between Gen and Kelly. Nice nice people to be stuck in between with. Kelly was my food hygiene group mate in year 2. Shes so easy to talk to la. We chatted until the ceremony starts. And when the graduands started to go on stage we talked about how girls should not wear those really high heels because they look awkward when walking on stage. Flats are for all occassion. And they are much more comfortable. Correct?
Came across the picture below from Gen's blog. No idea how she got it but my guess is its taken from the tv screen. Added names of pple i spotted.

The ceremony was a bit too long for my liking. Ended at 7++. Rushed out, talked to a few people, take pictures then rush to perform maghrib prayers with Farhana first. When we came back, majority of the people were already gone. Didnt get to take pictures with people like Siang Fang, steph and co. and the lecturers. But its ok la.

The parents

In the midst of all the kelamkabut-ness, i totally forgot about my parents la. Farhana and i parked our belongings with them to go search for her parents. Stayed with her and her parents for a while then talked with Fatimah for near 15 minutes before realising the parents are waiting for us. Syafiqah is so freaking forgetful.

The Polymates
Ahhh.. the polymates - Liza, Jiaying, Farhana, Sam, Rev. We kind of got together since orientation day. Such a NICE bunch of girls. Although the 3 of us went into biomed and the 3 of them went into biotech starting year 2, i must say we still are pretty much a six-some. Had great, great memories with these girls. From making scrapbooks, writing one-liner stories, eating lunch/dinner together, celebrating brithdays, using each other's tutorial as references, sitting together during leactures. Fun times.

Liza: She's such a fun-loving person. Someone who gives straight honest answers to your questions. I just love that trait of hers la. She's someone who has the ability to make you feel good about yourself. I was caught playing with her tic-tac-toe during lecture. Chey, we were so dumb can. Sit front row but still want to play. heh.

Jiaying: So so sweet. Was pleasantly surprised when she gave us roses during grad day. And she also gave us a poem, nicely pinted and all that. A very thoughtful person who puts other people's feelings as a priority. Pretty trustworthy. Am seeking for a guy who looks like Bae Yong Jun. hah.

Farhana: My buddy! I guess we kind of stick to each other most of the time. When theres me, theres her. A great listener, willingly or non-willingly listen to my whines and gushes. I absolutely love her art work la. She have so much talent.

Sam: The first person i talked to during orientation. A brilliantly intelligent girl. Always helping other people.

Rev: The one who have the ability to put smiles on our faces. Never fail to crack a joke. Very happy-go-lucky. Its infectious la. When shes happy you'll be happy also.

The Classmates
Like any other classes in any other schools, theres bound to be cliques. But we bonded fine i think. Definetely miss the classmates, esp the PBL group mates. Were stuck with them for 4 subjects throughout the whole term so am kinda attached to them la. Didnt get to see most of the classmates during grad day. And oh yah, actually wanted to take a picture with the chelsea fans from biomed - Jane, Zhi wei, Farhan, keith. But didnt see Jane and Farhan. Saw Zhi Wei and Keith but the plan to take pictures with them totally slipped my mind. Boo to Syafiqah. Took a picture with the enemy though - ManU fan, Rusydi. [Wei dude, our teams facing off for community shield right. Chelsea to win! But thats like another 2 months++ away. Bleuk]

So that's it. Grad day was not very very eventful but it was still pretty good.

I want to go back to year one. Tomorrow.
