My Dream Room

Few days ago during hari raya, I went in to someone's bedroom and was absolutely amazed with her room. Ok, admittedly any mother would be appalled with the condition of her room and the fact that there are painted handprints on the wall, tons of pasted pictures on doors and wardrobe, and such. But i find it rather creative and nicely done. I dont know her but i can tell that she takes really good pictures, loves travelling and is definitely someone who loves the art scene.

This shows just how much your room can define the person you are. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you see it), my room does not. Firstly, I share the room with my sister, which limits the stuff i'd like to display (like my Chelsea scarf/shawl. Instead, the room has a HUGE liverpool clock and an equally HUGE liverpool calender. Ah, such fairness). However i do have my say in 1 aspect of the room - the walls are painted purple!

If i have a 100% say in designing my room, this is how i'd like it to be.
[Note: This entry is rated CG (Children Guidance). Readers are advised to engage a kid of 8 years old or younger to read the following entry with them as the contents require use of advanced imagination] Hah, lame la Syafiqah. Ok, start.

For color scheme of the room, i'll pick royal purple and white. The walls will be painted purple and there will be painted white flowers near the base (or near the top) . so it'll look something like this:

Ok, maybe the purple is too purple. or the colour can be reversed, i.e. white background with purple flowers.
There shall be a bookshelf with all my books displayed and a little reading corner, where i'll have a comfy carpet to sit on and a few cushion/pillows. A space-like chair would fit in nicely too.

The wall that has the windows will be left white. I'd like to use that wall space for little kids to scribble on (of course the paint and writing materials MUST be the washable ones laa. see, im practical). I just love looking at kids' art work, ok. never fail to make me smile. So if i have them on my wall, i can look at them everyday. Smart, yes?

Artist's impression on how the wall would look like. heh.

On another side of the wall, i'd like to have some sort of a mini SFQ museum, where i display certain stuff. The walls will have 3 hole-like thing on it (heh, ok im bad at describing).
ermm, something like this la. Just that what i had in mind was that the hole was inwards rather than outwards. As of this moment i dont know what i'd like to display on 2 of the holes. But for 1 of the hole, i'd like to put in all the chelsea merchandise i have.
ok, brain-blocked. maybe i should leave room-designing to the experts, yes?
