Art & Craft
I'm relishing every single minute of my leave days. So every small thing i do somehow seemed like the most interesting thing ever. Few days ago i had a painting session with Nisa and it was super fun!
I told Nisa to come up with a theme and she said "rainbows!". so we spreaded out the old newspapers, tear out some paper, took out the paints, prepared a cup of water, arm ourselves with paintbrush and we're good to go. I felt like such a kid (I paint like one too) but it was nice laa. I miss painting. I LOVE mixing the paints to form new shades of colours. Cheap thrills!
Just after 15 minutes of painting, Nisa looked over at my paper and complained that my painting is nicer than hers. Well, it has to be right? I'm
only 14 years older than her. I'd be a sad case if my painting is worse than hers. But of course being a small
brat kid, she just don't see it that way so she started to sulk and throw a tantrum. She threw her paper aside and was like "I don't want to paint anymore". By that time i was already obsessed on finishing up my painting so i totally ignored her. I was as obsessed as Isaac Mendez from
Heroes laa ok.
To make a long story short, i eventually convinced her that she should just have fun painting and not bother about how everyone else's painting looks like. Because if everyone's painting is exactly the same, it wouldn't be nice wouldn't it? Then there will be no stories to tell. And i went on about how she's 6 yrs old and i'm 20 so our standards are different bla bla bla. Oh man, i can really crap my way. But the amazing thing is she was convinced la ok! See, i know i have a way with kids =)) She resumed painting, but used a new paper and totally scrap off the rainbow. Kids will be kids.

Nisa with her final painting.

My masterpiece. Heh. I can so compete with other 6 year olds laa. No older competitors, because i will only embarassed myself.
Painting is now open for bidding. Bidding starts at $1oo. As if eh.
You don't have to be very good in art to have fun doing art.
