Princesses + old trees = Magical
I had a Princess Day Out with the babes at Botanic Gardens last Saturday. It was awesomely awesome! The 2 A's - Akki and Anu - were not able to turn up. Which was a huge pity because Botanic was Akki's idea and Anu was already on excitement mode. Nevermind babes. we'll go there again next time. This time we shall bring frisbee or a football! And maybe get the guys to come.
Anyway, picnic at Botanic is really a brilliant idea. It reminds me alot of tea parties in the garden. So Princess-ey! Ok, i'm starting to sound like i'm 10 years old. So, pictures! Sheena's picnic mat fits the 3 of us (and our huge bags) nicely. We had sinfully good food. Well, what's a picnic without that, correct? And there were soooo many squirrels! Which is lovely. Coz it feels like we're in a scene of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. My favourite thing in botanic gardens has to be the trees. Alot of the trees looked like they've been there since 200 years ago. So ancient. With many many trunks and incredibly long and thick roots. Trees has never been this fascinating. Sheenarella. Ennriel. Bsyelle (The 'B' is silent) You Princesses made my day. I found my favourite tree! It's sooooo gorgeous. A few of the roots were not touching the ground. So it makes a great bench. I like. Gorgeous, huge old tree turns me emo. Well, it's not everyday that you see Syafiqah in Emo Land. I want to adopt this tree. And demand it to be transferred near my house. This tree is really special. Because it introduced us to a new friend.
And she gamely took a picture with Sheena and Enn. She got so comfortable with us that she sits in for another shot. I was like "Ashley, can you help take a picture of us. I'll teach you how" She went "Ok!" and started to climb back up the tree. It took me a few seconds to realised that she misinterpreted my question and thought that i told her to go back up to take another shot. But it's ok, the camera loves cute, adorable 4 year olds. Ashley is my favourite stranger to date. And this one on the picture is the bonsai plant area. So pretty. We laid on our backs and i took this shot. Ahhh, so green, so blue, so peaceful. And i love the sight of birds flying above. It really is a whole different angle when you look up to the sky while lying down on the ground. In normal days, we are too busy (or so we claimed) to take a moment and just appreciate nature as it is. So i'm glad we did that on that day. This is one time where silences are never awkward. So, that's the end of another chapter of meetups with the princesses. Singapore Botanic Gardens is great. We've only covered like 1/5 of the whole place. It is seriously huge. We'll cover the other 4/5 next time. And oh my, my bag look so huge in the picture above. No wonder Enn and Sheena calls it the Barney bag. I don't want flowers. I want a huge old tree with bench-like roots. Labels: Princesses |
