Delighted.
Yay, I'm accepted for the Special Needs Officer (SNO) position! Interview was 6 weeks ago ok. And finally good news, Alhamdulillah.
And getting this SNO position means im going to NIE for my special education diploma. I'm going back to schooling. Yayyyy. Goodbye work politics. Hello lectures, tutorials and projects. I'm still in jumpy happy mode. And i feel the need to give a speech. Because there's so many people who have been giving me so much support and encouragement. (Ok, so soap-opera) Thank you friends, for consistently reminding me that the ultimate career for me is really one that involves kids. And also to those who insist that SNO is my calling and that i'll do great in it. Thank you for listening to me babble about the experiences i had dealing with kids. There'll be more to come, I'm sure. So I hope you're not bored yet ; ) Thank you for allowing me the space to be fickle and doubt my choices but at the same time assuring me to go for it when it feels right and shaking the fickleness off me. Thank you for assuring me that it's ok to go for another diploma course when i already have one dumped somewhere in my cupboard. You people are really something. I may not have as many friends as say, Paris Hilton. But the ones that i DO have, they are total gems. And i like having just a small circle of really good friends. You can hang out with 50 friends yes. But you'll only know peanuts about them. On the other side, you may hang out regularly with only 5 friends. But these friends, they read you like an encyclopedia and vice versa. So im rarely personal in my blog entries, i think. But this will be an exception. Here's to the greatest people that I'm fortunate enough to have contact with. To my oldest friend ever (from kindergarten, no kidding). Thanks for always, always saying the right things at the right time. You're the rainbow to my drizzles and the jumbo umbrella to my thunderstorms. To the person who knows me the longest, shared a room with me for donkey years, and had night talks with me when neither of us feel sleepy. Thank you for the blunt honesty that i hated but needed. To you, who stayed up online with me till 2am when i watched my team lose the cup final (and your team was not even in it). Thanks for being around and just listening to my whines of annoying superiors and everything else. And also for remembering the little details that matters. You're probably the only person i know who can say the lamest stuff but still managed to make me laugh. To the Princess, thanks for all the online talks and reliving the fairy tale world with me. Your energy is infectious. And your self-confidence is admirable. To the sizzling seven, hurray for all the meetups. Many more to come please. We're colours to the rainbow! Last but certainly not least, To my awesome duo. Dinner dates with you beautiful babes are always new set of adventures filled with countless laughters, tons of fun and many memorable moments. Thank you for laughing at my jokes like it's the funniest thing you have ever heard. Every meet-up adds a knot to our already tight bond. To the sophisticated one, I like how whatever you say always make sense. Thanks for always giving me your honest opinion on matters. To the gossipy (heh) one. One who listens without passing harsh judgement. Thank you for being my reliable cheerleader. I'll see you in NIE/NTU soon ; ) AND thank you Allah, for these wonderful friends You send as gifts. Thank You for the plans that You have laid for me. And also the wrong turns and obstacles that I have encountered. Because they have been nothing but blessing in disguise. "When Allah brings you to it, He'll bring you through it" I don't have silver and bronze as friends. I only have gold =)) |
