Night Tour
I was out on Saturday for a night tour organised by the school's Parents Support Group. Overall, it could be better but ok, shall not complain. Afterall it's their first time organising such event.
The event was from 8pm to 8am the next day. We went to Boat Quay, T3, Jurong Fish Port, some vegetable wholesale place and Mount Faber. It is probably more meant for the mothers. They seemed really happy with the tour la. And bought boxes of fishes and bags of vegetables. No prize for guessing that I ended up empty handed.
I enjoy going to the market with mother. I just leave mother to do the buying. I'm more of an observer, see. Market-shopping with mother has never been a chore. I regard it as a form of entertainment. Especially if it's at Geylang Serai Market. That place is so freaking cool ok. I'd find myself grinning idiotically when the fishmongers say "Lai, lai..1 kilo $5" with a croaky, robotic, almost sexy voice. and also when my my mother starts to bargain and emerge victorious.
Ok, back to the trip. I'm a morning person. At night, i sleep. So staying awake the whole night was a challenge by itself. I KO-ed at around 4:30. Diana and me went up the bus and had a quick nap while the others were busy shopping for vegetables.
Ironically, i must say that it's pretty refreshing to be up in the wee hours and be walking around.
So, pictures.

View from Boat Quay.

I love how the colouful lights are reflected on the surface of the river. Awesome.

While in the bus, we spotted the Singapore Flyer. I love this shot. It is so accidentally pretty.

A view from the top of Mount Faber at about 6am. The purpose of going to Mount Faber was actually to observe the sunrise, which was the only reason why i was so interested to go for the night tour in the first place. But turns out the clouds were very heavy at the side where the sun was due to rise. So we can't see the sun rising. I was sad ok. But this just shows that we humans can do the planning. But things don't always go as planned. Nevermind, as what mother pointed out when i complained to her, i have already witnessed the sun rising beautifully at beautiful
Pulau Redang. So i shouldn't feel that disappointed. Well, we can never get enough of good stuff, can we?

This should be the time when the sun begins to rise, or halway rising.

And, morning says hello.

Diana, my partner throughout the night tour. Trip may not be great but company is good. Overall, the trip gets 3.1/5
