Kids Spells L-O-V-E
I saw a SONY Handycam Ad some weeks ago and instantly fell in love with it. It depicts little kids doing innocent things that really is adorable if you look at it as an outsider. But a total nightmare if you're the parent of those kids. So far I've only seen the ad from cable's StarWorld channel and i couldn't find it anywhere online. So i took a clip of the ad using my superphone. Because EVERYONE should see the ad. It's seriously freaking awesome. Pardon the lack of quality of vid. And i was so selenge, i did not change the vid time setting to maximum so it automatically stopped recording after 20 seconds.
I would so scream my purple head off if my daughter smeared ugly paints on my car. And if my son decided to play interior designer and had painted hand-prints on my walls and sofa. But all the kids in the videos have such an innocent face expression on them. See "00:09". That is something i would do when i was young, i think. Dressing up with clothes and accessories that does not belong to me. And then slip and fall. "00:07" made my jaw dropped. Like alamak, no vase would be allowed in my house with kids around ok. "00:02" is my favouritest. But they cut off the part that i like. After shifting the orange cup vigorously from right to left, the little boy flipped the cup up and looked into it, as if expecting something to appear. Freaking adorable la. Freaking. I have witnessed a fair share of innocent-doings of young ones. Though they were not as violently damaging as what was seen in the ad. Just last week, my 3-year old cousin Alyssa was playing with this miniature bobble-headed doll. The doll has a hat firmly glued on its head. Alyssa ripped off the hat from the doll's head ok. And placed it on her own head. She then laughed at herself. Like she just realised that the hat won't fit her. It was priceless la. I like to observe kids doing things from a distance. Somehow they will only do the most ridiculous things when they thought no one was watching them. I believe little kids learn through discovery. They are not yet aware of what is wrong and what is right. It is only when they are scolded for their actions, that they realised what they shouldn't do. I think we should allow kids that space to venture. To be kids. And just discover things by themselves. Even if it means a broken china plate. Or a badly vendalised car. Or damaged make-up kits. I was blog hopping and saw this line: "when I grow up, I want to be a child" Yah, me too. That would be barneyly awesome. Labels: kids |
