Check.

I've been out of work for the last 2 weeks and it has been pretty splendid. But i do miss working there, a little. Omg, I so miss the kids. And i didn't even get to bid a proper goodbye to those awesomely awesome kids. And i miss my friends there - Nancy, Muhaini and Diana. We were such an awesome foursome. One other thing I've missed is the morning journey to the school. It's one of the few routine things that i like doing. The 8-minute walk to the bus stop, the 25-minute bus ride. And the familiar faces at the bus stop. They're like my lateness indicator, those faces. Familiar faces at bus stop = I'm on track, i haven't missed the bus. I wonder if they missed me like how i missed them. Hah, ok crap.

One good thing about being out of work is meeting and catching up with friends. I've being doing quite alot of that, and other things. How fabulous.
So, some pictures.

1) Explorer Kid outing with Diana and her son, Feroz

Diana told me she knew I'd like to come along. That's why she invited me. Yay.
I think i have "I'm a kid at heart" written on my face.

We braved through those tunnels and slides.
If you're wondering, yes, adults are allowed to go in the obstacle. Supposedly to look after their child. Feroz is our excuse to do just that. (:

Look at those tunnels and tell me you are at least a bit tempted to go Explorer Kid at this instant.

Weapons for battle.

Little Feroz loading the bullet.

And the bullet, they're pretty purple and yellow soft balls.

2) Discovery Centre and Sakura International Buffet Outing with Muhaini, Diana and Feroz.

Discovery Centre was just OKAY. It wasn't as exciting as expected. But one cool exhibit is the news broadcast corner. We got to pick a news to broadcast, sit on a chair, hold up the microphone and read script from the screen. I've been wanting to have a feel of that since primary school days. So that was nice.

Diana and Feroz at the news broadcast exhibit (picture taken off the screen)
They presented the news on launch of the first TV station in Singapore. Hence the black and white backdrop.

Feroz loves the microphone.

And i presented the news on launch of the MRT.

One evident thing about Discovery Centre is it revolves around happenings in Singapore and its culture. Which is good, really. That explains the cardboard bus - we were at the Singapore Bus exhibit.

And we headed to Sakura.

Feroz refused to just smile sweetly for the camera. So Muhaini had a phototaking-spree of him to get a decent shot.
Failed shot #1 : Feroz with fork.

Failed shot #2: Feroz playing tough superhero.

Failed shot #3: Feroz, more interested with his plate. He ate 4 slices of blackforest cake ok. See, he's licking his lips.

Successful shot #1: A-ha! finally. He seriously has a killer smile. And those killer big eyes.

Successful shot #2: Killer smile. Killer eyes.

Muhaini, the person who made me aware of the existance of SNO. We are more than ex-workmates. We're friends (:
You know you're really comfortable with someone when she's 5 years your senior but you don't feel it.

3) Dinner with polymates - Liza, Farhana & Jiaying.

Omg, poly was 4 years ago?? And we're still together! You girls are in my thoughts ok. You put "shine" in "sun" (:

And i'm still waiting for the second attempt on kite-flying. Sam, please be around next outing!

"I believe every girl MUST have girlfriends."
--Enn

And i agree. Because really, girlfriends see you through all sort of situations.
They will be there, right outside the dressing room, if you need opinions on which dress looks better on you.
They are a phonecall away, if you had a bad day and just need to talk, and cry.
They are always around, to tell you the truth even if it hurts.
And they know when to lie to you, to hide the truth just a little, when absolutely necessary. Because they know you that well.
They know when your yes means no and vice versa.
They know when you're hiding your true feelings and won't rest till you confess. And by doing that, they make you feel tons better.
They somehow are always almost-magically around, at times when you need them most. Not necessarily physically around. But your girlfriends, they have their own ways of making their presence felt.

As much as you choose to deny, your girlfriends know more about you that any guy does. It's just a girl-girl thing. And if you have guy problems, who do you turn to? Your girlfriends. And you know they will have your back. Like what Enn said, even if the guy is right, girlfriends always stand by you.

So to all my girlfriends, thank you. You girls are love.
