Don't laugh at me

At the start of the lecture of one of the modules i'm taking, the lecturer played a song on the CD player. The cd came with a book so she was also showing us the pages of the book, which basically has lyrics (with illustrations) to the song. It's a lovely song called "Don't laugh at me". It mainly centers on the topic of bully. Usually when I listen to a song, i'll notice the melody first. But this particular song, the lyrics struck me. I realised how too many times I've looked at a person and treated them differently just because they are different. Because they are special in their own ways. How ignorant i was, possibly hurting many hearts without realising.
I'm sorry.
I'll strive to be a better person.
And I promise I won't laugh at the differences in people.

And yay, i found the song in youtube! with illustrations from the book. so go look, and pay attention to the lyrics. Do share your thoughts, if any (:

Don't get your pleasure from my pain...
